Hi mamas, has anyone tried dollarama pregnancy test? I have tested 4 times all positive results, 18DPO, and 2 days late. But I have also tested Shopper’s Life Brand and Walmart’s Equate pregnancy test which has negative results.
Have anyone had this before? Pls help.

Both my positives came from dollar store tests. I never bothered with tests from anywhere else.

@xlv,
No, I just went to my family dr and they confirmed it there.

I have some OBGYN friends and one of them (maybe both, I can’t recall) said Dollarama pregnancy tests were just as accurate, so why spend the extra money?! :)
If I were in your shoes, I'd wait a week and test again or simply book an appt with my doctor.

@Summer-babies-20-23,
this is kind of relieving. I just booked one with my OBGYN but won’t be seeing me until end of August.

@xlv,
at least with the dollarama tests you can buy a dozen for the cost of a regular test lol. I was using both the pregnancy tests and ovulation tests from Dollarama but only switched the ovulation tests to a box of strips because it was taking so long to get pregnant with June ‘23 baby.

The shoppers brand gave me the weakest reading when I tested (VS the cheapies and a first response)
Im assuming the Walmart ones are manufactured by the same company

@SCS07410,
I heard the the cheapest one takes more HCG than the expensive ones. I have retested again with the $, and it still has 2 lines

I’ve used the dollar store ones 3 times and all accurate for each of mine. I did use a weeks indicator test just to see how roughly far along I was tho after

@girlmama97,
according to online, I should be about 5 weeks into my pregnancy, so I’ll def try and buy the digital ones to confirm

I never used one I had bought in first response and my digital test didn’t even work. My sister on the other hand with her last pregnancy bought test from Dollarama and they worked perfectly fine. Her son is currently six. Lol I would just make an appointment for a blood test.

@KBaby82,
I won’t be seeing my OB until end of August so I’ll def asking my family doc for blood test to double check

I have heard they're accurate. Normal pregnancy tests from the store are all basically the same, the expensive ones maybe being slightly more sensitive - but a positive is a positive!
There's a brand called OVRY that I used with my first pregnancy that is a bulk non wasteful brand - the test is literally a paper stick that's 1/2 cm wide and maybe 10cm long. But it's just as accurate as the ones found in stores, it just doesn't have a crap ton of plastic casing. (All this to say that "fancy" ones are a lot of advertising and up charging, you can get an accurate reading from a strip of paper test)

@Morhathiel,
I have honestly bought so many expensive test previously and didn’t realize just last week I can get the dollarama preggy test. First time using it last week and had 2 lines immediately. It was just weird the Walmart and Shoppers both came out negative. I was very bumped out

it's been always accurate for me ! but you should still definitely go see a walk in Dr if you don't have your own and they'll give you blood work to know for sure .

@SNOODLE,
I’ll ask for one tomorrow. I do not want to wait until end of August to see my OB, because according to my last ovulation date, I should be 5 weeks
